Unspoken: Poems of Love and Memory

When the Thread Came Alive

About this poem

July 2026 became a turning point.

I was moving through a period of uncertainty; my mind was hazy, my direction unclear, and my heart carrying a grief I could barely articulate. Then, unexpectedly, I felt the return of something deeply familiar: a powerful presence that seemed to reach through the distance and touch a part of me that had remained quietly alive for years.

For so long, I had believed the fire I carried was mine alone. But this experience awakened a different realization, that perhaps the invisible thread between two people can remain alive even when there are no words, no contact, and no physical presence.

This poem is about that awakening: the feeling of being held by something larger than life, the possibility of love stirring on both sides, and the sense that something dormant within another person may have begun to awaken.

At its heart, this is a poem about recognition, enduring love, and an invisible connection that time could not erase.

A dramatic oil painting captures a vast, tempestuous ocean breaking under dark, lightning-streaked storm clouds on the left, which sharply contrasts with a serene sanctuary of calm water on the right. A single, powerful beam of golden sunlight pierces through the gloom, focusing directly on a small wooden boat drifting peacefully near rugged coastal rocks. Emanating from this celestial light is a delicate, glowing thread of golden energy that gently weaves through the placid water around the vessel, anchoring it safely away from the surrounding chaos

July was a landmark month.

My head was hazy.
I was uncertain of my direction,
lost somewhere between where I had been
and where I was meant to go.
My heart was sobbing,
quietly carrying a grief
I could not put into words.

And then, something familiar surged inβ€”
like a tsunami wave rushing
through the cracked door of my heart.

It touched me with tenderness,
as though it were whispering:

You are not lost.
You are held.

I felt strongly held by something
powerful, intense,
something larger than life.

This sweet storm was not unfamiliar.
The energy arrived with his signature,
to cradle me in love,
to make me complete and whole.

And with it came an affirmation,
that what I had believed for so many years
to be a one-sided fire
was, in fact, burning on the other side too.

Perhaps the flame I carried alone
was never mine alone to carry.

Something had awakened in him.
Something had shifted within him,
fading the old version of himself
that had once turned away.

Perhaps now he realizes
who I was to him.

Perhaps my love and devotion,
quietly carried through the years,
finally stirred something deep
within his inner world,
something that had long been asleep.

And now,
our invisible thread is charged,
and alive.
What once felt dormant
seems to pulse between us again,
carrying emotions,
memories,
and something neither distance
nor time could completely erase.

This love is not an ordinary one.
This is a love of the Two of Cups,
where two souls meet
and allow their energies and emotions
to flow freely,
without interference,
without resistance.

After all,
we are twin flames,
two souls drawn toward each other,
meant to find their way
back to one another.
